Clownfish with three strips live in coral reefs alongside anemones where they take refuge in the event of danger. Unlike other fish which are stung by anemones, clownfish secrete a mucus which prevents them from feeling the anemone’s sting. They bring them food in exchange. All born male, their sex changes when a group forms. The larger specimens become females.
