The biggest predatory fish in cold freshwater
From the Siluridae family, sheatfish are the biggest cold freshwater predators. They eat everything in their path when they go hunting at night. They use their barbs to detect their prey, then create a depression in their mouth to suck them up. Native to eastern Europe, they are caught in abundance in the Loire river by amateur and professional fishermen.
