Thanks to its big eyes, it can see in deep and troubled water
Pikeperch is carnivorous, and native to European freshwater environments. It belongs to the Percidae family and is characterised by its spiky fins and operculum. Thanks to its big eyes, it has good vision even in badly lit, deep or troubled water. With such good vision, hunting is easy. They eat both live fish and dead prey.
